Using Internet Search Engines

 One of the most useful and exciting things you can do on the Internet is to look for information on something, You can Usually find out almost anything on the Internet, But, with billions of pages to choose from, where do you look ?

To make things easier, there are automatic “Librarians”  on the Internet that classify pages on the Internet like books in a library. These useful programs are called “Search Engines”.

A commonly used search engine is called “Google” and it is found at www.Google.com

Search Engines are what make the Internet really useful. Let’s say you had to plan a holiday. You need to find out information about possible destinations, hotels, rates, packages and rail/air schedules, All of this can be done n the Internet using search Engines, Type in the search word “Indian hotels”, “Tourist places in India”, “Indian travel destinations”, “ Indian railways”, “Airlines in India”, and look at the website for places you might want to visit. Choose a place and choose a hotel there. Keep in mind how you got to the site.
